Ischemic heart disease is the leading cause of death from non-communicable diseases worldwide, with acute coronary syndromes and chronic coronary syndrome being its most common clinical presentations. This article summarizes the clinical practice guideline for the management of chronic coronary syndrome in the Peruvian Social Security System (EsSalud). The methodological process followed a GRADE approach and included the formulation of 10 clinical questions using the PICO format. Seventeen recommendations (2 strong and 15 conditional), 47 good practice statements, and 2 flowcharts were developed. Systematic searches of evidence were conducted in international databases. These recommendations include diagnostic strategies and therapeutic approaches for chronic coronary syndrome. This clinical practice guideline aims to standardize chronic coronary syndrome care in the Peruvian context and constitutes a fundamental tool to optimize the diagnosis and treatment of patients, promoting evidence-based interventions intended to improve patients’ quality of life and reduce complications associated with this disease.
