Inflammatory myopericardial syndrome encompasses inflammatory diseases of both the heart muscle and the pericardium. Introducing it into medical jargon is clinically useful and aids diagnosis. Myopericarditis has a variable incidence, ranging from 6.3 to 32 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, predominantly in young men. Therefore, we present the case of a young man with myopericarditis, who was treated according to updated guidelines and statistical reports on diagnosis and management and compared with similar cases. The complexity of the diagnosis and the importance of clinical follow-up were confirmed, as well as management according to etiology, where aspects such as age and origin influence the outcome.
